Lucky FABB Conference 2012
So happy to be attending Lucky Magazine's FABB Conference tomorrow with none other that my partner in crime, Tiffany of Tiff James Deen. But this rain that we're expecting is cramping my style, quite literally. Had an outfit planned, but now I need to change it completely to avoid looking like a wet noodle when I walk in the door. Thank you mother nature. And to my fellow fashion bloggers, I shall see you there! If you're not attending, then check out the live stream tomorrow at 8:30am Eastern here.

DIY: Tea Bag Nail Wrap
I always like to keep my nails nice and long, but every once in a while I get that terrible rip right in the middle of the nail that ruins it all! So here's a super easy way to seal the deal, if you don't have the time to get a real wrap put on at the nail salon. Yes, it is made with a tea bag. I know, I know, it sounds super weird, but the tea bag material is very similar to actual nail wraps and it works amazingly, I promise.

DIY: Embellished Camo Jacket
Hope everyone's having a wonderful week! Here's a quick DIY I did earlier this week to jazz up any piece of clothing. Here, I chose to use a camoflauge jacket that I found on Ebay. I've been searching high and low for the perfect oversized camo jacket, but I also wanted it to have a little jazz. I bought these vintage looking buttons from Michaels a long time ago and never knew what to do with them. So I thought embellishing my new camo jacket with them would be perfect. Then, I added spikes to the shoulders, in true Olivia style. And voilĂ , the perfect camo jacket with a little somthin' somethin'. Oh, and it's super easy, doesn't get better than that.
All you need is:
-Whatever piece of clothing you want to embellish
-Buttons, rhinestones or studs as embellishment, anything you want really
-Scissors or pliers
-Toothpicks
-Fabric glue, I found this jewel-it glue by Aleene's works best because it is specifically made for gluing little hard things on to fabric and stand up to multiple washings
So all I did was cut the little pieces sticking out from the back of the buttons, that are meant for sewing. Then I arranged how I wanted them to sit on the collar. I plopped a little glue onto some paper and used the toothpick to put some on the back of the buttons. Glue those babies on and let them sit for a few hours. This glue doesn't set right away, so be careful not to move the pieces around. The spikes I glued on as well, but they do come with screw backs (from studsandspikes.com). So once I figure out a good way to make holes in the fabric, then I'll probably screw them on because the spikes tend to be a little heavy and the glue might not hold up. But after it's dry, you're good to go!

Print Generator
PETER PILOTTO & CHRISTOPHER DE VOS RESORT '13 PRESENTATION |
Whoaaa! Talk about trippppyyy. I was floored when I came across this installation from Pitti Immagine UOMO, a four-day exhibition showcasing some of the raddest and upcoming menswear designers. But when Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, guest womenswear designers, collaborated their resort '13 collections, they completely stole the show. I'm a sucker for beautiful prints and putting these amazing clothes in front of 3D printed backgrounds?! Just AH-MAZING. And as a graphic designer, this just makes my heart melt, so inspiring!

New In: Red & Wood
SHWOOD SUNGLASSES |
FOREVER 21 BOX PURSE |
Remember these? I have been obsessing over them since winter and alas! They are mine! These Zebrawood sunnies are handcrafted in Oregon and are amazingly light weight. Ummm, amazing. Get them here, in a variety of woods and styles. And this cute little box bag is a surprising purchase from Forever 21. It's definitely Wang inspired, but at a very tiny fraction of the cost. A while back, I had found a satchel with the same metal corners from Forever 21 and I instantly fell in love with it and immediately bought it in cream and black. So, naturally I needed this little red box version as well. Another plus; it looks way more expensive than it is (ahem, $30!).

Food For You: Quinoa Pizza Bites
Since it was a million degrees here in New York yesterday, I decided to stay in the nice air conditioning and make some tasty bites to snack on. These quinoa pizza bites are super easy to make and quite delicious. They're perfect for entertaining or as a snack for kids. Plus, they're relatively healthy (compared to regular frozen pizza bites) at 175 calories per serving (5 bites).
You'll need:
-2 cups of cooked quinoa
-2 eggs
-1 cup chopped onion
-1 cup shredded mozzarella
-2 cloves of minced garlic
-1/2 cup fresh, chopped basil
-1 cup chopped pepperoni (or leave it out if you're vegetarian!)
-1/2 tsp seasoning salt (I substituted with salt, pepper and powdered garlic)
-1 tsp paprika
-1 tsp dried, crushed oregano
-Your choice of sauce (i.e. marinara, tomato and basil sauce...)
First, cook your quinoa by package directions. About 1 cup of dried quinoa makes 2 cups cooked. Preheat oven to 350Âş
Next, prepare all other ingredients in a bowl. A food processor makes your life much easier when chopping the onion, garlic, basil and pepperoni.
Mix all of your ingredients together (except dipping sauce) and plop tablespoon fulls of mixture into greased mini muffin tins.
Bake these little babies for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven. When done, let cool for a few minutes before taking them out. Serve with your sauce and tada! Time to chow down!
Told ya it was easy! Enjoy!

I was super happy to have been asked to host The Habitat Shop's shopping party last Friday. As soon as I stepped into the store I fell madly in love. The jewelry, clothes, furniture and decor were all absolutely beautiful and exactly my style. Let's just say, they will be seeing me very soon and very often over at The Habitat Shop. I was also excited to be able to share another passion of mine, baking. I created three different flavors; strawberry, carrot cake and chocolate salted caramel. Thank you so much to The Habitat Shop, lovely owner, Kenny Gee and my dear friend Mariah for making this all possible! And big love to everyone who came to the event and gave positive comments on my cupcakes, it really means a lot to me!
Go check out The Habitat Shop on W. 19th St between 6th & 7th Ave in Chelsea, New York. And stay tuned to see the fabulous jewelry I got there!
