New Goodies

I just received these gorgeous Jeffrey Campbell shoes that I showed you the other day, the lovely El Carmen platform sandals.  They are even more amazing in person then in the photos.  So happy I bought them :)

I also snagged these sweet orange Jacqueline sandals from Karmaloop.com for only $36 (couldn't pass that up)

I also got this really cool clutch at Marshalls a couple weeks ago and I had to share it with you.  I almost didn't buy it, but the finger holes at the top reminded me so much of the Alexander McQueen knuckle duster clutches that I thought paying a mere $17 was well worth it.  Considering I've never seen any other clutch like this before the Alexander McQueen ones.

The Power of Accessories

One of the most influential blogs that I love to look at is Advanced Style.  Everytime I see these older women with fantastic styles I can't help but think, I want to be just like them when I grow up! As I was browsing through the videos on the blog, one woman stuck out to me the most, Iris Apfel.  I can relate to her love of accessories (can I have those glasses please?).  One reason why accessories are so great is because you can update any outfit with them.  Instead of buying a whole new wardrobe every season (which is what the fashion world prompts us to do) you can get a ton of accessories for way less, and jazz up your outfits that way.  I can also agree with Iris that you don't always have to buy expensive things.  I almost always find cooler accessories at a hole in the wall thrift store.  So get your thrifting on ladies!
