Illustration: Color and Design Pt 2

So, I promised you the second part of the Tiffany illlustration project and here it is! For this illustration I was influenced by the fashion illustrator Nikki Farquharson. Her amazing pattern line work is incredible and it encouraged me to try and create some crazy ink patterns to use as a background. This illustration is also mixed media using digital illustration, digital photography and ink. This particular illustration was based off of Tommy Ton's incredible street style photo from this style.com album (shown below).

Accessories Play

I have something exciting to share with you! For another final project I created a small website where you can play with accessories (the obvious choice for me). There are a few sunglasses, necklaces, earrings and lipstick colors to play with, so get to mixing and matching here! Eventually, I would like to expand and add many more accessories and maybe even design my own, who knows!

Illustration: Color Blocking Tiffany

I simply cannot get away from Tiffany! Here's an illustration I did for my Color and Design final project. I used mixed media (digital illustration, paint and ink). Most of the time school projects are dreadful because you are constrained to certain requirements, but this was basically a free project and I had so much fun with it! I knew I wanted to pick one of my own photos to base the illustration off of and I just couldn't seem to get this outfit out of my mind. What do you think?

Feel free to share, but please make sure to give credit!

P.S. There is a second part to this project that I'm still working on that will be on the blog soon, so be sure to check back!

Inspiration 050712 Paper Fashion

Recently, I've become really into fashion illustrations and today I came across Katie Rodger's blog called Paper Fashion. She creates beautiful illustrations using watercolor and ink and completely inspires me to try new things. When trying to decide what kind of project to create for my Color and Design class, I knew I had to do a fashion illustration, thanks to the likes of Katie. Since I'm not the best drawer of people, I thought I could somehow create a mixed media illustration using a vector illustration of one of my own photos and then incorporating hand-made textures. Well, I better get to it! Stay tuned for the result and check out Paper Fashion's blog and shop here!

Anna Dello Russo for H&M

JEWELRY, BAGS, SHOES-ANNA DELLO RUSSO FOR H&M
Anna Dello Russo is officially teaming up with H&M for an accessories collection. How AMAZING are these pieces? I think I might want...hmm...everything. It's actually kinda funny because recently I've have been searching for a Tiffany blue color minaudiere clutch, and this one just might be perfect. Just from these 2 pictures, the collection definitely screams Anna. It is set to release on October 4 in 140 H&M stores worldwide. H&M has been having some sweet collaborations lately and me being the accessories freak that I am, am especially excited for this collection to be coming out. I'll be waiting at your doors H&M!
