Leather Pouch

I was browsing around American Apparel not too long ago and noticed this rather large leather zip pouch. I have one similar, but a lot smaller from there. This one is way better because it's leather and big enough to carry as a clutch! But then I took a look at the $58 price, almost choked and said, "eh, no." Not worth almost $60 sorry, AA.
Now that I'm dying to get a minimalistic clutch in a bright color for spring and summer, I went right back to this pouch. Again, can't bring myself to spend that much on something I can make(plus, they don't come in awesome colors, just black, tan, and stone).
AHA! I feel a DIY coming along...I'm thinking turquoise leather with a tan zipper with gold teeth. What do ya think? Easily manageable. I'll share when I get around to making this bad boy. Ooo can't wait!

Now back to homework...homework...homework...

Thoracic Necklace

So sorry about the lack of posting, I've been so busy with school. Teachers seem to dump loads of work on you all at the same time UGHHH

Anyway, I wanted to share with you my new piece of jewelry that I am soo so so excited about! I ordered it a while ago from the Etsy store called Untamed Menagerie. I found the online shop via Fashiolista (which by the way, if you don't already have an account on this site, I HIGHLY recommend you get one. You discover some awesome stuff that other people find online. Then, you basically make a giant wish list of things you "love". Check my profile out and follow me!)

So, Untamed Menagerie makes handmade jewelry (mostly silhouettes) made out of stainless steel or acrylic. Most of the time if you want a certain piece in a different material, you can message the shop and ask them to do that, which is what I did. I saw this oversized rib skeleton piece (Thoracic) and I immediately needed to get it. But, I wasn't too fond of the black acrylic. I asked the shop to make it for me in brushed stainless steel and it was no problem! It couldn't be more perfect! I think my next purchase from them is going to be the triple threat ring (because I LOVE my multiple finger rings)

I may switch it to a longer chain...let me know what you guys think!

Shoe Pattern

So, I stumbled on these sweet black and white mixed patterned wedges on Solestruck.com.
I think I NEED these. Most of my shoes are plain colors, so I need to spice things up a little with some patterns. They also come in 2 other patterns that are just as lovely.
The hidden wedge and pointed toe are a nice twist that draws me even more to these Maurie & Eve wedges. (Oh, and it's called creeper wedge...I thought this was a funny name- certainly not a bad creeper)

Fanny Packs Are Back!

I can't believe I'm saying that fanny packs are making a come back. There are a few popping up in the 2011 collections, but with some modern twists.

Instead of the typical nylon fanny backs we're used to making fun of, we can expect to see a classier style in leather and rectangle shapes. I never thought I would say it but, I'm not hating them. I actually spotted one much like this Jill Stuart fanny pack at the mall the other day and almost bought it! (my boyfriend talked me out of it)

I'm going to try and justify myself and say they're called "belt bags" not fanny packs.

Jil Sander Pyramid Wristlets

So, I'm not a HUGE fan of wristlets but I was taking a look at the Jil Sander S/S 11 accessories and I came across these adorable little pyramid wristlets. We're going to see lots of bright colors this spring so these little pyramids are the perfect pop of color to an outfit (and it's a cool shape!).

Pair the hot pink one with the Jil Sander Fluro slingbacks (shopmrsh.com, $422), a sleeveless tan dress (urbanog.com, $29), and a bold necklace (F21.com, $9)

I've never seen a pyramid shaped wristlet before, so I'm curious as to how you would pack your things into it. Hmmm...I just might have to go check one out :)

Can't afford a $500 Jil Sander wristlet, but love the color? Check out these really awesome wristlets on ebay in the same hot pink color. Oh, and they're made out of seat belts!

Turquoise

It's a beautiful day and spring is on my mind! So I figured I would paint my nails one of my favorite spring colors, turquoise. To top it off a matching turquoise ring and silver shield ring.

The Perfect Spring Shoe

I have been searching for the perfect spring shoe to lift me out of this winter depression...and alas! I have found a beautiful pair of Versace sandals. The platform has such an architectural feel and the complimentary pastel colors are perfection!

Now, if only I had $1,125 to blow on them. A girl can only dream...

Loving the opening in the center (makes it look like a shoe on top of a shoe!)

Belle Noel

Although Kim Kardashian may not be a favorite of some, I, on the other hand think she and her sisters are fabulous. When I heard about her new line of jewelry, I was a little skeptical because some of their previous shoe and clothing lines are quite gaudy and not really my style. But I took one look at Kim's new jewelry line and I fell in love.

She teamed up with jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad and created a 75 piece collection called Belle Noel. There are 4 series in the collection: honey hexagons, glam rock, gold clusters, and peek-a-boo. I haven't seen every piece of the collection yet because the launch of the line is tonight! But from what I have seen, I can say that I can not wait to get my hands on some of these pieces! The best part about it? They're actually affordable! As soon as I see the full line available for purchase I will be sure to let you know where to snag these awesome pieces.

Here are some of my personal favorites that I've seen.
GORGEOUS! If only I had long hair...

ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! ^^

Heel-less heels?!

Can I just say...WOW! Although these Antonio Berardi heels may be old news, I'm still thinking about how outrageous they are! Why make a heel, with NO heel?! I can imagine myself trying to walk in these and simply tipping forward and falling flat on my face...much like what lady gaga did last year in her Noritaka Tatehana boots (whooopsie!)

Although these seem super dangerous to actually wear, they're kind of like a piece of art, and that's what I love about them. I would put them on display just to drool over, and that's where they belong at a whopping $6,500 retail price (yikes!)

So I'll leave you to stare at some of these amazing heel-less heels by other designers who made this crazy idea their own.
Lady Gaga again in another pair of Noritaka Tatehana shoes (check out those studs!)

These don't even have a platform in the front! Just one right down the middle, like walking on stilts I suppose (photo from the fashiolista blog)
