Coral and Lace

I took my first trip into Williamsburg, Brooklyn and I must say it is a whole different world from Queens.  It's very uhmm hipster artsy (HAHA).  Well anyway, of course I had to go to Beacon's Closet and see what all the fuss is about.  It's a pretty awesome thrift store, you can find a lot of unique things... but you aren't really getting any type of "thrifty" type of bargain.  In any case, I was pretty pleased with what I got after rummaging through what seemed like a million racks.  What do you think?

Sculpture Park

In an attempt to take a panoramic photo of the Manhattan skyline, I went to this really awesome sculpture park in Long Island City.  There weren't too many sculptures out because it's so cold, but surprisingly there were a lot of people riding their bikes, playing with their children, and just staring at the intricate skyline.  These photos are from last Sunday, but I've been SO busy with school and work.  IT NEVER ENDS! (until spring break that is)  So here are the shots Josh and I took in our short visit to the lovely little park (that I'll be sure to visit often in the warmer weather).
Snow angel looking sculptures in the ground

Into a Sea of Green...

Yesterday I journeyed into the sea of crazy drunkards and there was green everywhere! I saw a little of the parade, but I wasn't too impressed and instead grabbed a bite to eat with my lovely boyfriend Josh and then did a little shopping. Overall, it was a really fun and relaxing day (which I desperately needed).
Here's some shots I took:
I spy: clover tights (had to capture a picture of these babies)

Josh is so festive

As is Joe (blowing the grenade whistle into everyone's' ears)

Really fantastic church that was right where we were standing for the parade

I love when walls and bridges are painted awesome colors

These are slices of rat brains in slides (weird, I think I just liked the color of the box)
My friend Andy's finished tattoo (LOVE IT, I have many tattoos, maybe you'll see them one day ;) )

Cool mens Nautica sunglasses that I kind of wanted to steel from Josh's brother's apartment :/

New ring (one of the many new pieces of jewelry from the day; more to come!)

Josh's new Yankee fitted (that I picked out thank you very much)

Swatch Colour Code

SO, I'm kind of really obsessed with Swatch's new lady collection. I was shopping the other day and was pulled in by the awesome colors of the Swatch store. First thing I notice, these super long watches in every one of my favorite colors. They wrap around to create these really cute and simple watch/bracelet. Absolutely perfect for spring's emerging color block trend.

What's even better?...They're waterproof and only $50!
Get em' HERE

Now...what color to choose?

And, If you love to layer your jewelry and watches, Swatch's patent leather wrap bracelets are perfect. ...and again, $25 each. Definitely getting a couple of these.

"Expression Figurative" Vogue Paris March 2011

In many ways I can say that makeup is just as much an accessory as jewelry or a purse. And this editorial shoot by Inez & Vinoodh says it all! Beautiful makeup by Peter Philips, creative director for Chanel Makeup, is paired perfectly with dramatic accessories.
So gorgeous and inspiring!
